Who I Am

A space to slow down and re-weave.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with over seven years of experience helping adults and couples navigate the complexities of life and modern relationships.

I believe that in a world that constantly demands "faster" and "more," counseling should be the opposite. I value a therapeutic space that feels calm, collaborative, and intentionally unhurried. It is a place where you can slow down, reflect honestly, and work toward change at a pace that is actually sustainable for your real life.

I don't view therapy as a 'fix-it' shop, but as a space for collaborative repair. You don’t need to be 'broken' to benefit from counseling; you just need to be ready to look at your story with fresh eyes. My philosophy is that every individual and couple has an inherent capacity for resilience, and my job is to help you find the threads of hope that have been lost in the noise of daily life.

Areas of Focus

  • Individuals: Navigating the weight of anxiety, the fog of depression, and the stress of life transitions and relationships..

  • Couples: Moving from "gridlock" and constant conflict to a place of mutual respect and deeper intimacy.

  • Anxiety and chronic stress

  • Relationship and marriage challenges

  • Depression and emotional exhaustion

  • Life transitions and major life decisions

  • Communication difficulties in couples

  • Affair recovery

Specialized Training: The Gottman Method

For couples, I utilize Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. This approach isn't based on "opinions" about what makes a good marriage—it is the result of over 40 years of research with thousands of couples.

We work together to strengthen what Dr. Gottman calls the "Sound Relationship House." This involves practical tools to:

  • Manage conflict without damaging the bond.

  • Increase fondness, admiration, and "love maps."

  • Create a sense of shared meaning and support for each other's dreams.

Personal

I have been married for almost thirteen years and am a proud father of two, so I understand firsthand the beautiful, messy work of keeping a family connected in a fast-paced world. I grew up as a military child who moved frequently—and as a child of divorce and infidelity—which gave me an early, deep appreciation for the importance of stability and resiliency. These personal threads are what led me to start my clinical journey in Columbus, serving families in community mental health and local schools. After transitioning to private practice and spending a tad under six years serving clients across Ohio with My Integrity Counseling, I founded Gracewoven to offer a more focused, unhurried space for deep repair. I believe that no matter how tangled your story feels, there is always hope, always a way to re-weave a sense of home and security. - Chris Eldridge, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, LPCC
